What to Expect at Your CoolSculpting Appointment

What to Expect at Your CoolSculpting Appointment

Are you bothered by stubborn areas of fat that just don’t seem to want to budge? Many people who exercise regularly and eat a healthy and balanced diet have this same issue. Thankfully, there is a non-surgical treatment option that may be right for you- CoolSculpting! Read on to learn more about this treatment and what you can expect regarding the process and results.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate fat cells in problem areas like the abdomen, flanks, and thighs. The CoolSculpting device gently cools the treated area for one hour, during which time you can relax, read, or even take a nap.

How Much Does CoolSculpting Cost?

The cost of your CoolSculpting treatment will vary depending on the number of areas being treated and the number of treatments you need to achieve your desired results. We will develop a customized treatment plan for your needs and budget during your consultation.

What To Expect During Your CoolSculpting Appointment

To begin your Coolsculpting appointment, one of our certified providers will assess your areas of concern and determine if you're a good candidate for the procedure.

If so, you will be asked to fill out a brief medical history form and answer any questions you may have about the treatment. Once we have all the necessary information, we will take before pictures to track your results over time.

Next, you will be asked to remove any clothing or jewelry that may get in the way of the treatment. You will then be given a gown to wear during the procedure. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing to your appointment so you can easily change into your gown.

Once you're ready, the specialist will begin the CoolSculpting treatment. The entire process takes about 35 minutes per session. You may feel a pulling sensation during the treatment as the CoolSculpting device applies suction to the targeted area.

After your CoolSculpting treatment is complete you will be given a list of aftercare instructions to follow for the next few days. Immediately after the procedure, your treated area may look or feel stiff and transient redness may occur. The treated area may be red for up to a few hours after the applicator is removed. This is an expected but temporary effect after CoolSculpting Elite. There typically is little to no downtime with Coolsculpting Elite. Most patients are able to return to their daily routine immediately after the procedure.

What To Expect After Coolsculpting

Most patients see results within two to four months, and the treated fat cells are permanently eliminated from the body. That means that once you achieve your desired results with CoolSculpting, those results will be long-lasting. You may even start to see a reduction in fat in the treated area as early as two weeks after your treatment. CoolSculpting is a safe and effective way to eliminate unwanted fat cells from the body.

Most patients experience some redness, swelling, and possible bruising in the treated area, which is usually mild and temporary. These side effects are temporary and typically resolve within a few days. These instructions will help you maximize your results and minimize any side effects.
