Why You Should Consider Jawline Fillers

Why You Should Consider Jawline Fillers

Your jawline frames the face and affects your entire appearance. A weak lower jaw, also known as a receded chin or underdeveloped mandible, can make you look tired and worn down. For some people who have lost jaw volume due to aging or other medical conditions, fillers can be a great solution to redefine and contour your jawline.

What are Jawline Fillers?

Jawline fillers use tiny beads of dermal filler, a gel-like product, to add volume to the lower jaw and chin area. They are customized to the individual patient's needs and, therefore, a little different from those available on the market. Before considering jawline fillers, you must understand what the procedure involves and should consider all of our options.

Restorative Injectables

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are a form of injectable filler that you can use for various cosmetic applications. More recent dermal filler technology has resulted in products that provide natural-looking results and smooth out lines and wrinkles. We offer multiple types of dermal fillers that can help you achieve your results. Each is a hyaluronic acid-based formula that simultaneously provides hydration and added volume to the skin. The fillers we offer are Juvéderm, Radiesse, Restylane, and RHA fillers. Your provider will access your skin and cosmetic goals to determine which one is best for you.

Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin prevent muscle spasms and contractions to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. The active ingredient in these products is botulinum toxin type A, which consists of a neurotoxin produced by bacteria. Botulinum toxin works by temporarily blocking the release of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in transmitting nerve impulses, to prevent muscle contractions. If the underlying muscles are unable to contract, wrinkles will not be formed on the above skin.

Non-Injectable Treatment

If jawline fillers don’t sound like the right treatment for you, we also offer completely noninvasive CoolSculpting. CoolSculpting is a fat reduction treatment that can be used almost anywhere on the body, including the chin and neck. A small applicator will be used to target the area just below the chin. The cooling technology administered by this applicator freezes fat cells to tighten and slim the area. When used beneath the chin, CoolSculpting can create a more contoured jawline and slimmer chin.
