What it is

Radiant Skin That Lasts — From The Inside Out.

Fractional laser therapy — often called Fraxel — uses advanced laser technology to target concerns beneath the skin’s surface while preserving its outer layer. It is a nonablative laser that creates microscopic wounds in a precise pattern, triggering the body’s natural healing process. This leads to the regeneration of new, healthy skin cells and an increase in collagen, the protein that gives skin its structure and elasticity.

At Restorative Injectables we use the Nordlys system from Candela. The 1550 nm Fraxel wavelength is designed for firming, brightening, fine lines and wrinkles, minimizing pore size, acne scarring, and improving the appearance of surgical scars and stretch marks. Schedule your consultation today to see if you're a good candidate.

  • Reduced fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improved skin tone and texture
  • Diminished acne scars and stretch marks
  • Lightening of sun spots and hyperpigmentation
  • Minimal downtime compared to traditional resurfacing

The treatment

Four Attentive Steps, Start To Finish.

Each visit is a private appointment — no rush, no upsell. Just an expert provider and your face in good light.

01

Consultation

A skilled practitioner assesses your skin’s condition, discusses your aesthetic goals and determines if fractional laser resurfacing is the most suitable option for you.

02

Procedure

The targeted area is cleansed, a topical numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes, and the Fraxel handpiece is maneuvered over the treatment area emitting microbeams of laser energy.

03

Recovery

You may experience redness and swelling similar to a mild sunburn. These symptoms are temporary and generally subside within a few days.

04

Follow-Up

Follow-up appointments monitor your progress. Depending on your plan, multiple sessions spaced several weeks apart may be recommended for optimal results.

Ideal for

Who It's For

Fraxel may be suitable for adults of all ages and skin types who wish to improve the appearance of their skin. Good candidates typically seek to address:

  • Acne scars and other types of scarring
  • Age spots and sun spots
  • Discoloration and uneven pigmentation
  • Fine lines and signs of aging
  • Mild skin laxity
  • Rosacea and redness
  • Sun damage and skin texture irregularities

Contraindications include certain skin conditions, active skin infections and a history of poor wound healing. A consultation with one of our professionals can help determine if this treatment is right for you.

Add-on

How Fraxel Boosts Collagen

Fraxel promotes collagen production through fractional photothermolysis. The laser treats only a fraction of the skin at a time, leaving surrounding areas untouched while creating microscopic treatment zones. Focused light energy heats the dermis, prompting the body to naturally produce new collagen and elastin fibers.

Over time, as new collagen forms, the skin becomes firmer, smoother and more youthful-looking. This regeneration process helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars and other skin imperfections for results that continue to improve for at least 3 months.
